Floody Muddy 101
Even though flooding forced us to postpone Canoe for Clean Water, we couldn't pass up a chance to spend a day on (or rather near) the Might Mo!  As our back-up plan we had presentations all about flooding with experts from MRCN, the US Fish and Wildlife Service and Missouri River Relief.

Rain Garden Tour
Dozens of Columbia residents spent a beautiful spring day out and about exploring some of Columbia's best rain gardens!  Visiting both public and private gardens provided inspiration and encouragement for others to tackle rain garden projects.

Columbia Earth Day
MRCN helped welcome hundreds of visitors to the annual Earth Day event held at Peace Park.  Young and old alike were thrilled by our live macroinvertebrate display!

Missouri River 340
Did you know that Missouri hosts the world's longest river race?  Canoe and kayak racers brave enough to enter paddle from Kansas City to St. Charles - a total of 340 miles - in 88 hours or less.  Postponed due to high river levels, this race will now take place from August 24-27.

Eco Art Fest at Cooper's Landing
What could be better than spending a weekend on the banks of the Missouri River while viewing incredible local art and learning about our environment???  I can't think of anything!  Join in on the fun on Saturday, September 18 from 2-10 p.m. and Sunday, September 19 from 2-9 p.m.

Sustainable Living Fair
MRCN is back again for this great community event celebrating all things sustainable!  There will be booths, food, workshops and speakers, and now its on a SUNDAY so you won't have to disrupt your Saturday fun!  We hope to see everyone out at Columbia College on Sunday, September 26 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Canoe for Clean Water: Race, Float and Festival
The river was too much to handle in June, but we are hoping it calms down this fall!  Everything that was scheduled will take place on Saturday, October 9.  We'll have the same delicious local food, the same rockin' blues bands and even most of the same silent auction items!  The only thing we won't have?  June heat!  Mark your calendars now!
