Chump Change, 3:00-4:30 p.m.

Leading the band on vocals and harmonica is consummate bluesman Henry Clay Ransburg.  When it comes to the blues, few are more knowledgeable, and none more committed to keeping the music alive with their very heart and soul.  Originally from New Madrid, Missouri, Henry transplanted to the Kansas City and Columbia area many moons ago, and has been vital in a large number of bands since, always contributing positively with his innate blues stylings.  As for guitarists, the group is blessed with the Hennessey brothers. Whether it's laying down an unwavering groove on the Strat or swinging hard on the Big Box, Columbia's own Sean Hennessy is the blues bus driver, so grab onto something, because you're going for a ride.  Whether it's Muddy Waters or Mick Jagger, or anything in between, this show will serve up an adult portion of dancing blues music that will satisfy your cravings and yet leave you wanting more.  You might recognize a few of the covers and even a couple of the originals, but regardless, you will hear real blues music played real good.

Big Babe and the Chump Change Blues have been electrifying audiences in the Midwest for the past 20 years with their intense style of grooving rhythm and blues. They have shared the stage with such artist as Robert Cray, KoKo Taylor, Albert Collins, Albert King, Big Twist and the Mellow Fellows, John Lee Hooker, Johnny Copeland, Son Seals, The Legendary Blues Band, Mary Wells, Martha Reeves, Luther "Guitar Jr" Johnson, Little Ed and Blues Imperials, The Itals, Buddy Guy, Junior Wells, Johnny Winter, Sugar Blue, Junior Walker, War, Gil Scott Herron, Rare Earth, Iron Butterfly, Ozark Mountain Daredevils, The Fabulous Thunderbird, Charles Brown, Roomful of Blues, Clarence Carter and The Neville Bros. Current band members have a combined playing time of over 130 years!  This band must be heard to be believed - they are a real treat for blues lovers.
