Missouri River Communities Network is excited to be partnering with the Missouri River Bluffs Association (MRBA) to grow the Mid-Missouri farmers market capacity.  With the help of the Missouri Foundation for Health and the MO Dept of Agriculture’s Specialty Crops grant, we are beginning a number of projects that will aid market organizers and vendors to make local, seasonal food from independent and cooperative farms available to our communities.

First among our goals is to connect market organizers and vendors to the resources they need.  Each farmers market in Mid-Missouri is unique and many are utilizing innovative methods to reach out to underserved populations, to promote healthy foods, and to educate consumers about the value of a local market.
